i would really like to apologise to anyone whom my previous post had affected.
it was not meant to be directed to anyone neither was it to say that we are better than Maris Stella band.
i guess it was a misunderstanding and i really dont mean to hurt anyone.
i hope that you all would also understand that it really wasnt intentional to say that we played better than Maris Stella.
seriously, i think that Maris Stella is indeed a good band and i would really like to congratulate them for their Gold cos they really deserve it.
i would also like to apologise to Mr Chiang for everything and i know i was wrong to say that.
please do not let that post affect all of your opinions of St Margs'.

after 48 hours, i've finally thought everything out.
the feeling rocks to the MAX okay.
even though SMSB got a silver, it doesnt matter.
look at us now, we are like SO bonded.
it's like we've literally went throught thick and thin together.
i dont think mr tan would dislike our band or anything just because of this silver.
this is really THE wake up call.
i mean like seriously, after monday,
just look at the determination of every single band girl.
the unity and that strong bonding spirit of trying to help each other get over this news.
if we got a gold, i think everyone would be like "uh, okay"
our silver is just like a blessing in disguise.

SMSB has been half my school life.
and now that i've stepped down, i'll miss it more than ever.
but the things that i have learnt from the process is so so much more valuable than that GOLD or GWH.
yeah, it's disappointing that we didnt get it,
but if i didnt join band, didnt get to know mr tan,
i dont think i'll be as happy as i am now.
there's a possibility that we'll be performing our SYF choice piece "with heart and voice" for the school after MYEs.
and i just know that, it's going to be the BEST performance SMSB has ever put up (:

and CORNET section,
i'll miss each and everyone of you -sheryl, elizabeth, shahira, kayminn, hewmun, joanne, lynn, suchin, shili, alicia, yufang and nichola.
you guys ROCK TO THE MAX okay!
for polka and SYF, remember, we are a GOOD band.
prove to everyone out there that we are.
i'm sure you all would be able to do it.
believe in yourselves cos i believe in you guys.

this morning, we met mr tan.
he came all the way to our school just to talk to us.
and when mrs tan was talking, mr tan just looked so sad.
my goodness.
and when mr tan talked to us, he said that we are a good band, and now we've got to prove to others that we are NOT a silver band.
but the thing that he said that made the whole band cry was
"remember, you all will always be the band closest to my heart"
thank you mr tan, for everything.
thank you everyone else for being there when i was crying after syf and today.

SYF's over.
i've officially stepped down from band.
somehow, i feel that i've really let mr tan down.
i'm sorry mr tan, but we've tried our best.
i just have to tell myself, it's okay, it's alright.
tomorrow is a new day.
i hope everything would be better.

COUNTDOWN TO SYF: 1 DAY
but to be exact,



yesterday was the last band practice i was ever going to have.
and i'm really going to miss band.
EVERYTHING about it.
including all the juniors, some of whom dont even know me /:
haha feel super old stepping down already k.
but i've really enjoyed myself.
no matter what we get, i'll still be happy to have joined SMSB.
and tomorrow, we'll just have to give our best shot and see how it goes.
WE WILL ROCK SCH!

COUNTDOWN TO SYF: 3 DAYS
MY GOODNESS! i'm like super scared to the MAX please!
but getting top is not everything.
i know i've got the best conductor, the best section, the best band i could ever have.
and they ROCK!
only the process matters.
i've really really enjoyed my time in band and i think that learning all those things from mr tan and those experiences are definitely more valuable than that gold with honours.

on a lighter note,
I'VE FINALLY PASSED SOCIAL STUDIES THIS YEAR!
it's like FINALLY please! super happy la!
haha i guess LSB is not that bad after all.
as for this weekend, i'm just going to keep my mind off syf by watching hanakimi and finishing my homework ((:

BUT, i got cut instead.
and i doubt my cut had anything to do with amanda's test tube even though it happened at the same time.
haha, ms lee was like "run your finger under the water!" and she helped me put on a plaster even though it wasnt even bleeding.
just pain. haha i guess teachers can be rather caring at times ((:
PHYSICS pratical.
i was like connecting the string from one retort stand to the other.
and i underestimated its length, so when i pulled the string, the retort stand kinda like fell on me and hit my head?
haha it was quite funny please and amanda just couldnt stop laughing la.
ms ng was like "eh girls, be careful la"

listening to our soundcheck in singapore conference hall on 25th March.
NOT bad so far ((:
we sound rather good.
so anyway, we had band today.
and SURPRISINGLY, mr tan didnt say a single thing about the bar we missed.
ah but everytime we played them today, we did it correctly (:

haha PHYSICS practical (:
it was some electricity thing and we had to plot this graph.
so my y-axis was like 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 etc.
and ms ng was like "dont need to label every small box, just the big ones would do."
take note she didnt say anything about my graph.
so i erased the labels for the small boxes.
then mr ng came in and he said "eh girl, your graph is too small. change the scale"
so i changed the scale.
and then i started drawing the graph again.
BUT, when mr ng saw it again, it was like:
MRng: "your graph still too small. ms ng, your girls dont know how to draw graph, how can have division of 0.25? what's your name ar?"
MSng: "amelia."
MRng: "amelia, this is how you should label your graph.get it?"
amelia: "YES."
MRng: "you really understand right? you must understand you know."
and i kept quiet.
MSng :"so do you get it or not?"
amelia:"ya ya"
so did you see how many times i had to redraw my graph? like THREE times.
and apparently, the graph paper is those photocopy until BLACK okay.
ARGH!!!!!!!! i still cant stand it! erase and erase and amanda was laughing.
i was like so irritated that i became hysterical please! haha

WEDNESDAY
FINALLY, one day that i can go back home early ((:
i'm looking forward that.

31st MARCH
EXCHANGE:
i really cant stand it!!!!!!!!!!
MY GOODNESS! our band played like quite well.
BUT, at the end, OH MY GOODESS!
my section didnt even come in please!
there was like this HUGE empty gap!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! i cant stand it!!
i bet we'll get slaughtered /:

so after that we went to seoul garden for section lunch!
ah we ate and ate.
we took like too much food that in the end we couldnt finish.
so to finish it we played this super retarded game that the loser has to eat the food.
we ate like quite alot okay.
then i went to VIVO city, and i ate somemore!
after eating for more than two hours, i ate AGAIN.
like some pig please!
at around 9, i found myself in SENTOSA.
dont ever ask me how i got there okay.
SOMEONE wanted to take the monorail.
thanks alot man! and we were like walking from siloso beach to palawan beach.
haha super funny please and i was STILL in band t-shirt.
